Alankarams serve as essential rhythmic exercises within the framework of Carnatic Music, a distinguished musical tradition from India. They are structured around seven distinct thalams: Eka, Rupaka, Triputa, Matya, Jhampa, Dhruva, and Ata thalam.

Each thalam encompasses three angams: laghu, dhrutham, and anudhrutham. The laghu can be rendered in varying counts of 3, 4, 5, 7, or 9, known as Jathis—specifically Tisra Jathi, Chatusra Jathi, Khanda Jathi, Misra Jathi, and Sankeerna Jathi. Additionally, the "Nadai," or the number of notes sung per beat, introduces further complexity to these exercises.

This application facilitates a customized practice experience by allowing users to select their preferred thalam, jathi, and nadai. It then presents the corresponding alankaram based on these inputs.
